In a bold move to expand its influence in the global financial landscape, UTXO Management, in partnership with Sora Ventures, has acquired a majority stake in Hong Kong-listed company HK Asia Holdings Limited. With the acquisition of 70.26% of the company’s issued share capital, UTXO plans to steer the company toward a future of strategic investments in Bitcoin, Web3, and crypto assets.

As part of this transformative acquisition, UTXO intends to rename HK Asia Holdings as Moon Inc., a name that aligns with the company's renewed vision to lead Hong Kong’s dynamic economy and capitalize on the growing interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies. This move reflects UTXO’s commitment to delivering higher returns for its shareholders and spearheading innovation in the fintech space.

The acquisition partners include UTXO Management and Sora Ventures, both of whom were instrumental in Japan’s Metaplanet’s success. Additionally, local partners such as Top Legend SPC and Allied Top Investments, who bring deep expertise in Hong Kong’s public markets, are also involved in the strategic oversight of the company.

Tyler Evans, Managing Partner at UTXO Management, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition: "This acquisition is more than just a transaction; it’s a bold step toward creating value for shareholders. Our partnership with Sora Ventures builds on a proven track record, and we’re excited to lead Moon Inc. into a future where Hong Kong will continue to play an outsized role in global markets."

Sora Ventures’ Managing Partner and Founder, Jason Fang, echoed these sentiments, noting the momentum behind Hong Kong's growing presence in the crypto sector. "We are extremely excited to see the launch of Hong Kong’s Bitcoin ETF and the city hosting Asia’s largest Bitcoin conference last year. These are signals that Hong Kong is ready for more innovative products in their capital market."

With this acquisition, UTXO is positioning itself at the forefront of Hong Kong’s evolving financial ecosystem, setting the stage for a new era of strategic investments in emerging technologies like Bitcoin and Web3.
