Bitbase is expanding its crypto ATM network in Argentina, introducing bidirectional machines to new locations in 2025. Learn about their growth strategy in Latin America.
Bitbase Expands Crypto ATM Network, Aims to Lead Industry in Argentina
Bitbase, a Spain-based cryptocurrency ATM operator, is gearing up to significantly expand its footprint in Argentina. Leveraging the growing popularity of cryptocurrencies in the country, the company plans to introduce more crypto ATMs across various cities throughout 2025. This move comes as part of Argentina’s economic revival and the government’s crypto-friendly policies, which have attracted many crypto-focused companies to the region.
First Steps in Argentina
Having launched its first Argentine ATM in Buenos Aires last year, Bitbase is now preparing to establish a presence in additional locations. The next installation is planned for a new office in Cordoba, and an undisclosed number of ATMs will soon follow in other parts of Buenos Aires and across the provinces.
Nadia Karabin, CEO of Bitbase Argentina, explained that the company aims to make cryptocurrency accessible to a broader audience, particularly those new to the technology. “For people unaware of crypto, it is the perfect gateway to the cryptocurrency industry, reliably and securely, with specialists who have been in the sector for seven years and have a presence in other countries,” she stated.
Key Features of Bitbase Crypto ATMs
Bitbase’s ATMs are bidirectional, allowing users not only to purchase cryptocurrencies but also to sell them for fiat currency. This dual functionality enhances their utility and makes them a versatile tool for crypto transactions. Additionally, these ATMs prioritize user confidentiality, enabling transactions without mandatory reporting to local authorities.
Users can also send purchased crypto assets directly to cold or self-hosted wallets from the ATM, a feature that underscores Bitbase’s commitment to financial freedom. “We support financial freedom, and for this reason, users can send their assets wherever they want from the ATM itself,” added Karabin.
Expansion Goals in Latin America
This initiative is part of Bitbase’s broader strategy to establish itself in Latin American markets. The company began its regional expansion in 2022 with an office in Paraguay and now looks to strengthen its presence in Argentina. With over 130 ATMs worldwide and a user base exceeding 4 million, Bitbase is poised to become a leading player in the Latin American crypto industry.
