Core Scientific’s December 2024 unaudited production and operations updates revealed that the company mined 291 BTC in December alone. The company’s mining operations are supported by a massive fleet of over 164,000 bitcoin miners, accounting for approximately 96% of the miners running within its data centers. This helped the company maintain a total energized hash rate of 19.1 EH/s by the end of the year.
Data Center Hosting and Customer Support
In addition to its self-mining operations, Core Scientific provides data center hosting, technology, and operational support for around 7,000 customer-owned bitcoin miners. These customer miners contributed to an additional 18 BTC earned in December. With a combined total of 171,000 miners running in its data centers, the company’s operations reached an impressive total energized hash rate of 20.1 EH/s by the end of 2024.
